401(k) Retirement Savings Plan
Employees can contribute a percentage of their pre-tax pay to this program, which has a large variety of investment choices. Universal also provides a matching contribution.
Universal offers three medical insurance options: PPO-H, PPO-B plan, and HDHP/HSA.
Universal offers a comprehensive dental program with varying coverage for employees’ dental health.
Employees can elect to purchase vision care insurance to cover themselves and their dependents.
Universal provides Long-term disability insurance options in addition to the mandatory Short-term insurance.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Universal’s EAP provides confidential, professional support to employees and their families.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Upon hire, employees are eligible to participate in an FSA, which is funded on a pretax basis, to pay for certain health and dependent care expenses.
Employees receive a set number of paid Holidays per year based on regional customs.
Upon hire, Universal employees are covered by basic term life insurance at no cost to the employee. Employees also have the option to purchase supplemental life insurance for additional coverage.
Salary Continuance While on Disability
Salary continuance is available to supplement short-term disability or Workers’ Compensation payments.
Upon hire, employees immediately begin accruing vacation time. Vacation hours are accrued bi-weekly based on years of service.
